Waste Water Treatment
Since 1994, the ECUA’s Pensacola Beach and Bayou Marcus wastewater treatment plants have won, between them, 12 Gold or Silver Awards from the National Association of Clean Water Agencies.
Our Bayou Marcus Plant is noted for its boardwalk, where visitors can go for walks, birdwatching or just to enjoy nature’s beauty. The wetlands boardwalk site is part of the Great Florida Birding Trail.
The Pensacola Beach Plant, rebuilt since being damaged by Hurricane Ivan, stands ready to serve the beach community as new construction and rebuilding progresses.
